Hello and welcome!

Danzworx has been proudly operating for 30 years in the Upper Hutt. Since 2025, Danzworx is under the umbrella of Upper Hutt’s award winning Arts a Go Go! Performing Arts School, while still under the creative leadership of Katrina Robinson. Danzworx is run from the Freyberg Rd studio in Trentham.
Danzworx is registered with the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance. We offer the opportunity for examinations and medal tests, along side many laughs and fun times with our fabulous teachers.

You are welcome to try the first class before committing for the term but please still enrol so that a place is held. "Enrolmy" requires you to press "checkout" to process your enrolment but this does not mean you have to pay immediately. An invoice is sent with the due date and bank account number and there is nothing to pay to try the class.

What we offer

Danzworx is excited to be able to offer the following styles: Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Funk, Lyrical, Stretch Leap and Spin, Pointe Preparation and Fusion.

We have something for everyone of every age!

Preschool 2-4 years
We introduce our littlest dancers (and their caregivers) to our studio and show them the ropes in our preschool Ballet & Fusion classes. Classes run for 30 minutes.
Junior 5-10 years
In junior levels, we prepare our dancers studying ballet with NZAMD syllabus work; or they can experience Funk, Lyrical Jazz or Contemporary to explore rhythm and music in a friendly, fun environment, with a mix of syllabus and open class work.
Intermediate & Pre Senior 10-13 years
Our intermediate and pre-senior ballet students work through the levels of the NZAMD syllabus, or they can explore Funk, Lyrical, Contemporary or Jazz classes with a mix of syllabus and open class work.
Seniors & Adults 14 and over
Our senior and adult students work through the final levels of the NZAMD syllabus in ballet, including pointe work, or they can explore Funk, Lyrical, Contemporary or Jazz classes with a mix of syllabus and open class work.

Silver Swallows

A ballet based class for our more ‘mature’ aspiring dancers, that encourages using your core muscles to help with balance, while using music and movement to stimulate muscle strength.
