Welcome to Danzworx! We are so happy you have found us!
Danzworx has been proudly operating for over 25 years in the Upper Hutt. Our 3 dance studios are kept very busy with regular teachers and guest teachers, along with plenty of laughs and fun times. We are registered with the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance.
We look forward to seeing you in our classes and believe that YOU are a star.
What we offer
For the 2023 year, Danzworx are so excited to be able to offer the following styles: Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Funk, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Stretch Leap and Spin, Pointe Preparation and Strength and Body Conditioning.
We have something for everyone of every age!
Preschool 2-4 years
We introduce our littlest dancers (and their caregivers) to our studio and show them the ropes in our preschool Ballet & Fusion classes. Classes run for 30 minutes.
Junior 5-10 years
In junior levels, we prepare our dancers for Ballet exams with syllabus work; or try out a Funk or Lyrical class to explore rhythm and music in a friendly, fun environment.
Inter & Pre Senior 10-13 years
Our intermediate students are working through the levels of the syllabus in Ballet & Contemporary, and have the option of Funk & Lyrical open class work.
Seniors & Adults 14 and over
Students at these age levels are able to sit their final exams, and spend their term classes working through their appropriate syllabuses.
Adult classes available are Ballet, Funk, Tap and Lyrical.
BUBBA BEATZ - TODDLERS CLASS
A music and movement class for our youngest dancers and their caregivers.
Classes are based around popular songs and use of props to engage the children's imagination.
This class runs on a 10-Trip ticket system because we understand that life happens!
SILVER SWALLOWS
A ballet based class for our more ‘mature’ aspiring dancers, that encourages using your core muscles to help with balance, while using music and movement to stimulate muscle strength.
